Dalla Steppa

This short game requires a standard 52 deck of playing cards and a dice. The game is inspired by the novel The Tartar Steppe by Dino Buzzati - a wonderful elegiac story about a young officer sent to garrison a mountain fortress. Other inspirations include Richard Sivel's Friedrich and Regicide by Badgers from Mars. You play as the "Tartars" coming "from the Steppe". Your task is to make your way through the mountain pass and capture Fort Bastiani.
